2026 has been a very successful year for our lady captain, Abby Roper. In May Abby defended her title and became the Cumbria County Champion for the third time. The Seascale Ladies Team played in the County One-Day Team Trophy at Appleby in early June. Unfortunately, the team weren’t successful in capturing one of the Salvers but Abby won the best Individual Gross Salver. In September Abby went on to become the Northern Champion of Champions for the second time whilst being 5 months pregnant! Abby is our Lady Club Champion for 2026 and this is her tenth successive year. Well done Abby!
Our Junior Ruby Boxall has also been successful in her first season being involved with the Cumbria County Ladies Development Squad. Ruby has attended squad coaching sessions and in August she took part in the 6 Counties Junior Jamboree at Scarcroft Golf Club, Leeds. This ended with a great result as Cumbria won the Cup, thanks in no small part to Ruby’s excellent score in the singles. In September Ruby was part of the winning team at a Cumbria Squad Team of 3 event - each team consisting of a Ladies, a Vets and a Junior squad member. Well done Ruby!
