We are a small but friendly group of ladies who enjoy playing golf as well as meeting for social occasions throughout the year.

Whether you are an experienced golfer, complete beginner or somewhere in between you will be assured of a warm and friendly welcome from the Ladies Section at Seascale Golf Club. We are always looking to welcome new members and if you are interested please get in touch and we will be very happy to show you around.

Thursday is our competition day. We have tees booked both in the morning and early evening. To accommodate those who are unable to play on a Thursday we also have an alternate day competition, usually on the Saturday before. Some of the Sunday Club competitions are open to the ladies as well.  Our competitions are varied with individual, pairs and team competitions, some of which can qualify for County/National competitions.

We have teams competing in the County’s Silver Handicap and Cecil Leitch (Bronze) leagues. These matches are played home and away against other clubs in the county and are a lovely way of meeting fellow lady golfers and playing other courses.

2025 was a very successful year for Seascale Ladies Section. Abby Roper became the Cumbria Ladies County Champion. The Silver Handicap team were runners up (on countback) in Division 3 and Cecil Leitch team won Division 3, both teams being promoted.
2026 has started well with Abby defending her title and becoming the County Champion for the third time.

Our Lady Captain for 2026 is Abby Roper.
