Low or Modest Income Membership

'Low or Modest Income Membership'

Seascale Golf Club, as a registered Community Amateur Sports Club, offers a category of membership at a reduced rate open to new and existing members unable to meet full members rates.

This concessionary rate set at £500/annum is available without discrimination, to persons who apply and can reasonably demonstrate that they are unable to afford the Club’s standard full member rate. Any person who feels that they cannot afford full membership should apply in person or in writing to the Club Secretary, providing information and any supporting documents that will demonstrate that they are unable to pay the full membership fee. Each application will be considered on its merits. Further information or supporting documents may be required as part of the application process and may be subject to independent verification before receiving approval. Applicants who wish to appeal any decision may request arbitration through ACASC (Association of Community Amateur Sports Clubs). The Club gives assurance that all applications will be treated discreetly and in total confidence throughout the application process. All members under this category of membership will enjoy identical voting rights and privileges as a full member of the Club.

Members Benefits

1893 Club

Free Golf for Seascale Members

The 1893 Club set up by Wellingborough Golf Club in 2011 consists of clubs founded in 1893 and allows members of these clubs to play one free round of golf per year at participating golf clubs.  That means that Seascale members now have the opportunity of courtesy of the course at over 32 courses around the country.

No large parties two fourballs maximum.

Tee times, bookings and arrangements to play should be made in advance with the Secretary of the respective clubs.

Only members of the listed clubs registered with the 1893 Club can take advantage of the courtesy.  Guests of club members will not be offered courtesy.

Approval to play criteria will involve a letter of introduction from the ‘home’ club and/or a handicap certificate and should be confirmed by the player in advance of the visit.

All dress codes and club rules must be observed at all times.

Please find a list of the courses by opening the 2 PDF Documents and if you would like anymore information please contact The Secretary.
